SK is the most densely populated country on Avala. It has long been hailed as the cultural center of the planet. Mainly due to the presence of the Golden Rose, SK is also referenced as the beauty and fashion center of Avala. Streiksmen tend to be friendly and sociable. Parties, Galas, and other social events are a big part of life in any metro area.

-weather: is more temperate than Corrias and much of the Southern continent. Streik enjoys a mild winter and cool sea breezes in summer.
-clothing: city dwellers spend much of their coin and energy to look their best. bright colors are status symbols, and extravagantly embroidered & layered garments are popular. suburban and rural folk still tend to dress in colorful attire, though the cut and styling will be more practical and less flashy.
-dwellings: great stone towers and multi-story buildings bristle out from any city center. Streik cities were built by dwarven masons at great expense. stone facades are often used on wood buildings to give the illusion of strength and wealth even if the building’s purpose is a modest one. The royal palace’s grandeur is only rivaled by the Temple of the Devoted Heart.
-industry, livestock: fishing is a primary industry in Streik. fowl are also kept on farms. Horses are another major business of Streik. textiles, jewelry, and weapons are produced, but Streiksmen enjoy imports as well. Trade is an important part of Streik.
-social strata: royal family > nobles > performers > merchants > craftsmen > farmers/fishers > servants > slaves
-religion: Paral the Devoted Love spirit is the patron of Streik, but smaller shrines to many of the other spirits can be found throughout the country. The Lightseekers headquarters is located in Streik.
-music/arts: very popular in Streik. skilled artists/performers of almost any discipline are regarded as almost nobility.
-recreation: dance and music are the epitome of cultured hobbies. sailing and hunting are other past-times of any Streiksman of refinement. the country folk also enjoy song and dance, but of a more rowdy nature.
-education: several universities exist throughout the country. higher education is expected of both men and women in noble families. schools teaching the arts are prevalent in Chalens and Rozori. out in the country, local children are taught by a town teacher until they are either old enough to work with their families or are sent to the city for an apprenticeship or indentured servitude.

views & attitudes on:

-magic use: clerics and paladins are well respected, wizards are treated with suspicion.
-other races: humans rule in Streik. elves are welcomed as perfomers, crafters, and used as servants/slaves. dwarves are rarely seen, and only when actively building something on commission.
-strangers/travelling: humans with money are not given a second thought, poor or non-human travellers are treated with cool condescension. most in Streik are so entrenched in their society and their place in it they have no desire to leave.
-change v. traditions: traditions are honored, the Streik attitude of superiority is strong in both the rich and poor.
-slavery, servitude: both are legal and common. indentured servants are given room and board and often are apprentices in a specific trade while they serve. others serve in order to repay a debt. servants are a status symbol and must look nice. They can be human, elf, or less commonly dwarf, halfling, or gnome. slaves are never human and are unsuitable to be servants for some reason. slaves are made of the old, infirm, disfigured, or races considered “less than people”. (ombran elves, half-orcs, dishonored ventan elves, unmaster kashan elves, and dragonborns. Tieflings, while considered less than people, are also considered too dangerous and tainted by evil to even be kept as slaves.)
